“Why we are called Celestial”

“Celestial, An Uncommon name”

God in Christ often call his beloved and chosen ones by names that bring glory and honor to him

Those that believe in God are commonly called believers, christians and children of God, or followers of Jesus

But God himself stated that we are a peculiar people with a peculiar calling and a peculiar name that makes us unique out of the world.

Isaiah 62 v 2

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness and all kings thy glory and thou shalt be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name

The name celestial was proclaimed out of the mouth of God for us to make us distinct with the following features and attributes :

A. Righteousness : the gentiles shall see thy righteousness

For they shall be identified and known for righteousness

B. Glory : All kings shall see thy glory

For the glory of celestial is one(1 Corinthians 15 v 45) and is revealed that all the world may behold its glory.

C. A New Name : The new name out of the mouth of God is celestial which means divine from above

God himself specifically called us celestial, all new name that reveals heavenly glory and righteousness to the world

The name celestial was revealed from heaven above for us explaining the characteristics of those who are celestial :

CCC HYMN 305

CHILDREN of Holy Celestial from Holy Heaven above
Children of Holy Celestial, from Holy Heaven Celestial
We all shout for joy
We all dance with joy
We all shout Halleluyah
Whoever belongs to God, no evil can confront him. Amen.

In the above, the name celestial reveals 3 identity :

A. From Heaven Above

Celestial begats its origin from heaven and is not of this earth (terrestrial)

B. Heavenly Characteristics and glory
(Shout for Joy, Song of Halleluyah)

The kingdom of heaven is not about drinking and feasting but of peace, righteousness and joy

C. Belongs to God
This reveals those that belong to God, that are Christ’s own possession and people

    and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
    placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
