“Wake Up, Evangelist ”
(A Message for all evangelists in the church)
Evangelists are a fundamental and integral part of the church and ministry
Without them, the church could experience misery and drought
Ephesians 4:11-12 “ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, EVANGELISTS; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
The role of the evangelist is to preach the gospel, share the good news, reach out lost souls and exhort the body of Christ.
Whether you are a full, senior, honorary, most senior or superior evangelist, an evangelist is simply an evangelist and he does and operates as an evangelist preaching the gospel.
If he fails not preach the gospel he is no more than an adorned peacock
It is indeed an eyesore seeing many evangelists clad in robes, regalia sitting in the altar but do nothing to evangelise the gospel.
This is why the pastor founder didnt anoint just anyone as evangelist because he knew what that meant unlike today that it is as easy to get as cooking ingredient in the market with money involved without having to do with work of the evangelist.
Two of those evangelists that met the demands of the cross include the Evangelist Mawuyon and Evangelist Abiodun Bada.
The lacuna and lack in the word of God, the richness in the word of Christ and the aroma of the gospel that the church ought to enjoy is because of a nomenclature failure in the aspect of the evangelists in the church
Do not be deceived,
Just as there are senior and junior prophets, so there are full, senior, superior and supreme evangelists in the fold which is in function to maturity and degree and role of evangelising or else nothing differentiates them. They are all evangelists and this is where the superstructure came up for celestial church carving for an upward line development for evangelists
We have many robed evangelists but in the role of preaching and doing the work of evangelism only a minute few enlist.
The church is in dire need of anointed and spirited filled evangelist that will preach the gospel and reach out places for the lost ones with power and anointing of Christ
Rather we have added and created more ranks and robes for evangelists but our record in soul winning and reaching is terrible.
There is no venerability, or superlative ‘Most’ or Most Senior, or Special Most or Superiority in evangelism, we all must evangelise with what we are given and worn.
Dear, MR Honorary Evangelist,
There is nothing more honorable being an evangelist than for you to preach the gospel with all honor and passion
Dear MR Venerable Evangelist
There is nothing more respectable in your rank and regalia than you preaching the gospel with all power and might
Dear MR Most Evangelist
There is nothing vital most than for you to preach the gospel… This should be treasurable to you Most
Dear MR Superior and Senior Evangelist
You aint superior or senior to anyone if you fail to preach the gospel and evangelise.
Dear Mr Special Evangelist
There is nothing special about your rank and robe if evangelism and preaching is not your specialty of calling.
Anywhere in the world, an evangelist is known by this :: they preach the gospel and reach out for lost souls in the power of signs and healing
Evangelism is more than a rank, a robe, a title but a call and function of the body of the Christ
Dont be deceived by the nomenclature of names and ranks of evangelists we have in the church today from assistant evangelist to the most superior evangelist.
This pose a great failure if the main goal of evangelism is abandoned and left to the sides.
Flanking in ranks and robes isn’t evangelism.
Sitting in the altar at the best seats isn’t evangelism and the call of an evangelist.
Leave the altar alone and stop slumbering
A new surge of evangelical awakening is coming into the church that would leave this nomenclature evangelists shaky in fullness of power, anointing, boldness and efficacy of signs and healing that heralds the evangelist of old in the church
It will include everyone the youths, the women whom would rise to this role and ministry.
