Oshoffa : the enigmatic prophet of our time

(1909 – 1985)

A divine gift to Africa
From all the rainforest
To the deserts and atlas
And the deep tropicals

His name was Bilehou
A name that strikes deeply
Like a pattern of shades
With colorful hue

He was a blessing to our continent
His birth was very pertinent
That he came to this planet
Taught us mysteries of heaven
And revealed to us tenets

He was an enigmatic prophet
A divine call with impact and effect
He stood firm on the call
And never for once defect

Bilehou is the eyes of an arrow
The eyes that aren’t arrow
That the enemies may strike
Neither is it a spear or spike

He laid a monumental legacy
Of the holy spirit efficacy
Worship and its intricacy
Salvation and its supremacy
Revealing God’s love and mercy
For all of mankind
He is a prophet of a rare kind
That would be very hard to find
