JUST A MARKETPLACE FOR US
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14. Read 📖: James 4:13-17
No matter how beautiful and decorated a marketplace looks, sellers and buyers never sleep or stay back in the market square. This is because, a market is meant to be a place where transactions takes place between different people. When a buyer gets into the marketplace, he or she purchases whatever brought him or her there and leaves almost immediately. He or she does not allow the side attractions at the market square to keep him or her back at the marketplace. The buyer never gives room for distraction of any kind.
In the same vein, the earth is just like a marketplace for us as children of God Almighty. We are strangers here on earth and no stranger is expected to stay permanently in a place he or she visits, at the appointed time, he or she leaves for his or her home. Therefore, turning this earth that will soon pass away with it lusts as our home is a grave mistake many children of God are making. We came from heaven and God expects us to return to Him after everything on earth. Just as no one can turn a marketplace to his or her home, you and I cannot turn the earth to our home also. We’ll surely depart this world in one of the two ways, by death (before Jesus returns) or by rapture (when Jesus comes to take His own home). Be prepared to meet your God
* The greatest foolishness is for a man to turn a marketplace (earth) to his permanent home forgetting to return to his original home (heaven).
