*AN ALCOHOLIC*

I watched and behold, I was moved, I was angry within me, I wanted to cry, I think of the reason why people no longer perish only due to lack of knowledge but also due to ignorance and reluctancy to take the knowledge available for them.

I was in the New Moon Service dancing when a man walked into the church. He opened his mouth to greet someone beside me and the bad odour of alcohol came out of his mouth. Aside this, he was putting on a earring in his right ear. People do not only drink and drive again, but drink and serve God. Take it or leave it, such service is an abomination to God in heaven.

*WHY YOU SHOULD PUT AWAY ALCOHOL*

It is not the pastors wish to disturb you over not drinking alcohol like many may think, it is done all to help you benefit from God and be useful to God.

• Our God is Holy, therefore he orders that those who are holy alone should serve his for him to accept them.

1 Peter 1:15-16
15 _but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,_
16 _because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”_

God want holiness from true worshippers and one of the criteria that present one unholy before God is drinking alcohol. God revealed this to Aaron and his children in Lev 10:9-10.
_9 “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations,_
_10 that you may distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean,”_
This hinder God from accepting many peoples prayer.

• Celestial Tenet revealed that the odour of all (alcohol, cigarette, tobacco, etc.) are repugnant to the presence of the Holy Spirit. When you are a drink alcohol, it deactivate the Holy Spirit in you and block your access to the Holy Spirit. If this happens you definitely will lack comfort and right steps would be difficult for you to take because these are the work of the Holy Spirit as told to us by Jesus Christ.

• It is an act of serving God with no fear when you drink alcohol. Fear of God is a compulsory deed for all true Christian as given by God.
Eccl 12:13
_Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all._

Now you have seen that you have a lot to loose when you drink alcohol and smokes. This is what the Pastors and Preachers do not want to happen to you when they preach to you to stop drinking alcohol and smoking cigarette.
He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying unto the people.
