“I WAS SURPRISED WHEN THE WHOLE CONGREGATION JOINED ME TO SING A C C C HYMN AT THE CRUSADE”
Adetunji Anuoluwapo , a shepherd (pastor) in Celestial church of Christ was invited to preach at a crusade organized by another church denomination (a Pentecostal church). Adetunji wore his Sutana from home, but kept a mufti in his bag. His plan was to change to mufti before the program commence. But the holy spirit has another plan for him
Few minutes to the commencement of the crusade, the spirit of the Lord told him not to change his clothes. Adetunji reluctantly obeyed.
As he moved towards the pulpit to minister, other invited pastors were seen asking the host minister why he invited a pastor from a white garment church. Unbothered by the side talks, Olusho Adetunji mounts the pulpit and the first song he sang was a song from his church hymn book ” Baba ni wakati yi gbe ise owo Re ga…. And to Adetunji’s suprise, virtually all the member of the congregation joined him in singing the song. Some were seen speaking in tongues similar to that of his church and some in trance. So many people gave their lives to Christ that night. It was indeed a great ministration.
Every man of God should learn from Adekunle’s experience that:
1. Don’t be shy to show your identity in Christ. Let people know that you are proud to be a Celestial Church of Christ/ cherubim and Seraphs member . Flaunt your garment! You can’t be a Celestial Church of Christ member for more than twenty years and still find it difficult to wear your Sutana in public
2. Your church members do attend other church denomination on a regular basis. In actual fact, some of them are active members in other church denominations. There is no permanent church members.
3. Always allow the spirit of the Lord to lead you even if you are well prepared in all ramifications.
