Humility in Serving others, “A Model laid by Saint SBJ Oshoffa to all Celestians and the world” 1

It always a thing of joy for me writing about this great man of God whom I wasn’t opportune to met in his lifetime but I always held to one of his sayings, that a time will come people will write a lot about him and the wonderful works and great miracles God did through him.

Saint SBJ Oshoffa was very very humble, and lived a simple life, serving others and putting others ahead before his own. What a great quality! And it made him unique and enigmatic among the greatest of men of God that have surfaced the Earth and Africa.

My father, Baba Ajanlekoko of blessed memory who had witnessed and walked closely related with this man, had this to say,

“Very Few can imagine what papa went through to see the church grow. He slept on bare mat on a mosquito infested lagoon, went for long periods without food, accepted his lot as a missionary and never demanded anything from anybody he blessed.
This has become a tenet of the church – Deprivation, Starvation, Hardship were part of the sacrifices he had to make to put the church in Nigeria on a sound footing”.

How many men of God and Shepherds are willing to pass through this???

Only few men of God, Pastors, Shepherds are willing to go through What SBJ Oshoffa went through and modeled his life upon.

He lived a life of selfless serving to all human, he never looked down on anyone, and he was accessible.

Unlike the opposite in our world of today, you want to see a man of God, you have to wait and pass through stages and people to reach him, sometimes having to come back and book appointment.

SBJ Oshoffa attended to people regardless of appointments or not. He knew the needs, inadequacy of everyone around him, and that came to him.

The opposite is today in CCC where men of God strive for luxury cars, furnished offices, and are inaccessible, bodyguards, gigantic churches filled to the brim and all sorts of worldly flamboyance

The faithfulness of God to man, and man to God is tested in the furnance of affliction and long suffering before he begins to enjoy the riches.

But men of God in our generation do not want to pass through this but just arrive at success in a jiffy.

SBJ Oshoffa never pursued the flashy life but lived a life that always end with, glory to God in the highest.

He never demanded anything from anybody but received in return.

Today, our pastors and Shepherds

Might not attend to you if there is nothing to offer, or gain for them m

John 13:15
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

SBJ Oshoffa life was exemplary of service and humility with love and respect for all Mankind.

One amazing trait of his was that he never looked down on anyone, or underrated anyone. He accepted and embraced all forms of people and never saw himself as anything. He never exhibited partiality.

Today, it is only those who are wealthy that are recognized, honored, given attention and respected in the church.

Matthew 23:11-12
But he that is the greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

His life of humility modeled that of Christ whom dwell with all forms of people.

The washing of feet service in CCC points us to the truth of humble service in the lord which is the greatest work of leadership modeled by Christ.

Humble serving of SBJ Oshoffa

He always listen to people with attention and hear them out. He was ready to help and solve problems.

He always sacrificed his schedule for the sake of others, with his wives and associates bearing witness to this, that he never had enough time for rest.

SBJ Oshoffa was a giver, kind hearted and open handed. He was his brothers keeper always available to help others at the point of need.

His happiness came in serving others and the opportunity to serve God in the most humble circumstances

  6. GO!!!
This phrase was said by the first cosmonaut on Earth – Yuri Gagarin. (Yuri Gagarin)
He was the first astronaut on Earth. He was Russian! …
Now Russia is becoming a strong country, gas pipelines, a vaccine against COVID-19, an army.
Is this very reminiscent of the communist Soviet Union?
    How do you think?
Now we have total control in our country. I am interested in the opinion of foreigners.
