WHY MARRIAGE IS FEWER AND RARE IN CELESTIAL FOLD :

Marriage is an institution, a gift given by God for kingdom purpose, expansion and propagation.

Marriage is a revelation of the relationship between Christ(the bridegroom) and the church(bride)

But what happens when marriage is not happening, it is very dangerous and the increase in sin begins to rise high

The scripture says marriage is honorable and holy in the sight of God but in times, godly marriage is scarce.

There are some factors that made marriage scarce in the church :

A. THE CHURCH VALUE
The value the church places on marriage is very low..
Marriage isn’t valued and dignified and made to look like an holy thing.
The institution called marriage is not honored and taken seriously
The church concern and hold of marriage is low and lackadaisical
No body cares about marriage or see marriage as something not be taken lightly
Marriage doesn’t have a place in the plans of the church.

B. EXAMPLES AND MODELS
The question of people who are wonderfully and gracefully married in the church that one can look up to are relatively few and scarce.

Elders, mothers have failed to be good examples worth emulating for young people.

C. MARRIAGE IDEOLOGY

The church marriage ideology allows monogamy and polygamy.
The flood of polygamy and multiple marriage made marriage a complex fluster, an irritating step to do in the church

D. MARRIAGE STRUCTURE

The marriage structure and body in the church is very weak.
Elders and able counsellor are relatively unavailable and are not instituted to correct, guide and handle matters relating to marriage and singlehood.
The elder ones married, are to pass a blueprint of marriage to the upcoming ones but this is not happening today

E. MARITAL TEACHING AND EDUCATION

Many shepherds and pastors cannot teach and preach about marriage because they are all flaws of the structure, marrying and divorcing at welm and always avoid treading on the issue

Marriage seminars and programmes are rarely organized to orientate and educate the youth about marriage.

F. MARRIAGE WITHOUT PROPER UNION

It is very evident in the church that once a man impregnates a woman, the church shabbily unites them by doing a naming ceremony.
This has lead vicely to multiple divorce, single motherhood and separation.
This form of marriage is called Awayodupe marriage which is consummated by pregnancy

G.INACTION AND ZERO CONCERN OF THE CHURCH

When the church does nothing against fornication, adultery and divorce, then marriage is abused and rendered unholy.
The church ought to bring order and balance to marriage but the church itself closes its eyes to what happens before marriage and after marriage.

H.PROPHETIC CONFUSION

Prophecy is a tool of the church but it has done so many havoc to marriages, homes and even union causing separation, divorce, spouse snatching and a host of marital vices
Prophecy needs to be screened, regulated to ensure non interference in marriage

I. DUBIOUS REFERENCE

Many marry on the institute that because the founder had many wives, they are also entitled to many wives.
They maliciously lie and deceive many into unholy union by this statements and shame the standard and sacredness of marriage in the church

J. COUNSELLING

Where there is no proper marriage counselling, there will be only few marriage excelling.
The office of the counsellor and marriage team does not have a foothold in the church.
The church doesn’t see counsellors as parcel and important part of it.

K. VIABLE GROUNDS

When the grounds for courtship, friendship and relationship are not properly set among the eligible singles in the church, marriage scarcely happen.

J.MARRIAGE GLORY

The joy to get married in the church has been lost. Our sisters should be proud to get married or bring their spouse to the church and likewise our brothers but today all this is rare and gone.

WHAT CAN BE DONE ;
* organize marriage commitees and counselling bodies in the church
*organize programmes that share marital experience from the married in the church
*organize programmes that educate the singles and about to marry
*a counselling registration and setup should be made for all singles
*The church should show more concern for marriages, and ensure holy matrimony
*discipline against fornication and adultery, and multiple marriages
*constant education and teaching about marriage and its benefits
*Train and raise counsellors and marriage experts who would take this as a calling in the church
