The Shepherd Transfer Saga happening in CCC Calvary Parish one

POSITION OF CCC CALVARY PARISH MEMBER’S…..
When a worship center is experiencing internal crisis, it is not the building that is faced with majority of the challenges. Often, the Shepherd of that parish and the congregation that are plunged into dissary shrinking the size of worshipers as peace which is prerequisite for worship is jettisoned. The inability to manage the internal crisis in Celestial is one of the major factor that has affected the evolving of the Church.
CCC Calvary Parish 1, Lagos is over 40 years of existence. The parish was founded by a Landlord Shepherd in person of Baba Ogunoloruniaye who showed total commitment to God’s work before his demise in year 2014. However, the parish has witnessed (2) transferred Shepherds since the death of Baba Ogunoloruniaye. The first Shepherd was Ven.Sup.Evang Ebenezer Oshoffa and current Shepherd who just received a transfer letter from the Pastor to leave for Kaduna state in person of Ven Sup. Evang. Adeyinka.
In light of the recent happenings in the parish, the P.R.O of the Youth of CCC Calvary Parish 1, Bro. Peter Abogun said the crisis started from the era of Ebenezer Oshoffa because the first Parochial Committee was inaugurated on the 21th of January 2018, when Ebenezer Oshoffa was still their Shepherd and the Parochial Committee was inaugurated on the instruction of Rev E.M.F Oshoffa; while Baba Ojo was the Pastor’s representative on that particular day. The P.R.O said a total of (32) members were asked to pilot the affairs of the Church in accordance with section 121 and section 122 of Celestial Constitution respectively. L/S/S/S Bunmi Shonikan as the parochial committee chairperson, while M/S/E Kayode Ajala the parish secretary; it is also interesting to know that the same M/S/E kayode Ajala who is the Parochial Committee secretary, is also the current spokesman of Rev. E.M.F Oshoffa.
V/S/E Adeyinka became the Shepherd of CCC Calvary Parish 1, Lagos in 2019. He inherited the Parochial Committee that worked with V/S/E Ebenezer Oshoffa; however the youth P.R.O said M/S/E Ajala (parish secretary/Pastor’s spokesman) stood on the neck of V/S/E Ebenezer Oshoffa during his time at CCC Calvary Parish 1, Lagos. The youth P.R.O also said M/S/E Ajala wrote (4) petitions against V/S/E Adeyinka between 2019 to June 2020. Baba Banjo headed the last Panel on the petition M/S/E Ajala (Parish Secretary/Pastor’s spokesman) wrote against V/S/E Adeyinka (Parish Shepherd). The youth P.R.O said the congregation and the youth of the Parish had never supported any petition against their Shepherd, that it was M/S/E Ajala who decided to fight the Shepherd not the Congregation.
When a phone call was put across to the Parochial Committee Chairperson (L/S/S/E Bunmi Oshonaike) on the 19th of August 2020, She said the Parochial Committee of the Parish knew nothing about the petition that M/S/E Kayode Ajala wrote against their Shepherd. It was said that he wrote the petition based on his personal interest not in the interest of the Parish, that the parish is not having any issue(s) with the Shepherd; but the parish Secretary is the one giving their Shepherd serious and avoidable headache.
At exactly 11:00am on the 19th of August 2020, another call was put across to S/V/M/S/E orunaiye; who happen to be a member of the council of Elders at CCC Calvary Parish 1, Lagos said he has been a member of the Parish since 1982, and he was the immediate Adult Harvest Chairman; He also alleged that Ajala (Parish Secretary/Spoke’sman of the Pastor) has been an authoritarian; He said the Secretary has been a troublemaker and he does not have respect for the Shepherd.

VENERABLE/ SUPERIOR/EVANG. ADEYINKA HAS THIS TO SAY
V/S/E Adeyinka was the immediate past Shepherd of CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta before the Pastor transferred him to CCC Calvary Parish 1,Lagos. Yesterday a phone call was put across to him, and he (Adeyinka) said he remained loyal to Rev. E.M.F Oshoffa in all ramification and that his oath of allegiance to the Pastor is unshaking and he is ready to honour the transfer letter he received from Ketu.
When he was asked about the petition written against him by the Parish Secretary, the Shepherd said it was true that M/S/E Kayode Ajala wrote those petitions against him alleging him to have conspired with some Elders in Celestial circle to uninstall Rev. Emmanuel Oshoffa as Pastor and install Baba Nuanyan (International Representative ketu) as the Pastor. V/S/E Adeyinka also said he has never worked and he will never work against Rev. Emmanuel Oshoffa’s interest, the Shepherd also said he was alleged to have been the spiritual father to Sup.Evang Pius Olarewaju (current Treasure of CCC Worldwide) but the Shepherd said he had never prayed for Pius personally and that Pius had never knelt before him for prayer; He said he is not Pius Olarewaju’s Spiritual Father and he doesn’t even know Pius Olarewaju’s house in Lagos. He however said it is true that He (V/S/E Adeyinka) and Sup.Evang. Pius Olarewaju are both from Ekiti State and Rev. EMF Oshoffa had once followed them to their hometown for an occasion. V/S/E Adeyinka also said one of his major sin according to Ajala was that the Shepherd didn’t make his wife the 2019 Adult Harvest Chairperson. The Shepherd accused M/S/E Ajala of not giving him the freedom to perform his duties as the Shepherd of CCC Calvary Parish 1,Lagos but he is ready to resume his Shepherd work at Kaduna state, where he has been transferred to.

THE YOUTH OF CAVALRY PARISH SAID.
According to the Youth P.R.O Bro Peter Abogun, he said the youth are demanding that
1) M/S/E Ajala should stepdown as the Parish Secretary
2) V/E/S Adeyinka will not leave CCC Calvary Parish 1,Lagos for now
3) M/S/E Ajala and his wife should leave the parish

WHAT ARE THE PAROCHIAL COMMITTEE OF CCC CALVARY PARISH 1, SAYING
The Chairperson of CCC Calvary Parish 1, Lagos L/S/S/E Bunmi Oshonaike said the committee met with some elders of the parish, the Youth of the parish and head’s of various department in the Parish after the aftermath of the drama on Sunday (17th of August 2020) and they all agreed that the congregation’s decision will be final over the present situation in their Parish, and that M/S/E Kayode Ajala Parish Secretary and spokesman to the Pastor is the major cause of the problem affecting the Church. And that the general meeting also agreed that V/S/E Adeyinka still remain their Shepherd and he should be allowed to continue his work because the Parish needs his presence in order to finish some of the projects that he has started; and the Parochial Committee will do everything within it’s powers to retain V/S/E Adeyinka as their Shepherd as against the personal interest of M/S/E Kayode Ajala.
(AS AT THE TIME OF WRITING WE COULD NOT GET ACROSS TO M/S/E AJALA, WE HOWEVER SEARCHED FOR HIM ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO HEAR AND REPORT HIS OWN SIDE OF THE STORY)

WHAT DOES CELESTIAL CONSTITUTION SAY ON MATTER OF THIS NATURE?
Baba Oshoffa has taken his time with the help of God to establish a well- structured framework to address issues of this nature; even on his sick bed he was busy giving instructions and way forward to matters of the Church.
In line with section 122 of Celestial Constitution – The Parochial Committee has no constitutional power to suspend or expel any member of the parish, but the committee should report to the General committee under section 127 and section 128 of Celestial Constitution, it’s the duty of the General committee to investigate, arbitrate, conciliate and take appropriate action on any member of a particular parish.
Section 147 of Celestial Constitution also make a demand of responsibilities and explanation from the General committee or the Parochial committee on issues that affect the peace of a particular parish.
However, section 169 and section 170 of Celestial Constitution defines what a Parochial committee of a parish should do; if such parish doesn’t have General committee in place; in order to DISCIPLINE a member in their Parish.

WHAT ARE THE CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON ISSUES OF THIS NATURE?
Celestial Constitution give’s power to the BOT to review administrative issues that affect the Church with the approval of the Pastor, however section 146(v) has informed the BOT on what to do with CCC Calvary Parish 1, internal crisis.

WHAT ARE THE CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES OF THE PASTOR IN COUNCIL MEMBERS ON MATTERS LIKE THIS?
The Pastor in council also have the power to discuss matter(s) of discipline in accordance with section 158 of Celestial Constitution and the backing of section 158 of Celestial Constitution on matter(s) of discipline and settlement of conflict in any Parish; but section 151 of the Constitution gives the PASTOR final authority on issues of this nature.

WHAT CELESTIAL MEMBERS WORLDWIDE WILL EXPECT THE PASTOR’S OFFICE TO DO
An urgent delegation of high level integrity tested representatives be set up, to visit CCC Calvary Parish 1,Lagos to investigate all related matters and if truly the transfer of their Shepherd is unfair to the parish, it should be nullified since his services is still in demand by members of the parish. (If a Parish decides to renounce her membership/alligence from the body, then the authority(s) over that parish will cease to exist. This must not be allowed to come to play) The Parish Secretary should also understand that his not only the Parish Secretary of CCC Calvary Parish 1,Lagos but the Spokesman of a Pastor that oversee over 4,000 parishes worldwide, rather than fighting his Shepherd; He should be consistent and focused on the responsibility given to him as the mouthpiece of our Pastor because both the print/electronic and social media platforms of CCC are in an atrocious state.
