IKORE OR IKOMI???
In Celestial Church and many other denominations globally, Harvest is been Celebrated by Christians annually.
It is a time of Thanking God and Rejoicing in God’s Presence. It is also a time of Feasting, Wining and Dining with people.
In simple terms, Ikore is partaking in all aspects of the programs, activities and service of the harvest.
Ikore is paying your harvest levy, fulfilling your obligations and performing your responsibilities for the harvest.
Ikore is doing Thanksgiving on harvest day with presentable offerings and sacrifices.
Ikomi is purely eating food and dining together. In reality, without ikomi harvest is not complete. Harvest is a day of Joy and Rejoicing.
Ikore is Spiritual while ikomi is physical. The fact is that both is essential. One should not be too focused on the physical at the expense of the most important one – Harvest.
As we all partake in ikore and ikomi, I pray that may God of Oshoffa bless us and grant us all our heart desires in Jesus name.
