Covenantal Songs; Songs that we sing subconsciously without knowing we are pledging or making a promise
At times its not just the song, but we need to try and understand the message in the lyrics of the song.
There are particulars hymns that we sing that hooks us to an everlasting promise and covenant with God.
Like CCC Hymn 4
Oh Christ Oh my king, I will Worship thee
My Power and my shining light
Holy thou holiest
This is a declarative statement to worship Christ and submit our lives to him as King, Lord and saviour. We admit him as holy, submit all power to him
We are giving and surrendering our life to Christ to worship him
Christ holds this verily as a declarative promise we must fulfill; To worship him
Only few understand and grapse the commitment we make when we sing this song
See Hymn 62
Jesus I shall worship thee 2ce,
In this holy place, amidst thy great church
I shall worship thee until the end
I shall carry home thy blessings
Here we are pledging again to worship Jesus to the end
The end means to the very coming of Christ
Where; In this holy place, amidst thy great church refers to Celestial Church
We are promising to worship Jesus Christ fully in CCC and receive his blessings
This pledges follows us everywhere we go and Christ doesn’t take it lightly when you declare it.
The rewards of worshipping Christ wholeheartedly in CCC is Blessings and Salvation
Each time we sing the above songs, we shouldn’t take it lightly or casually.
